§ 101 Purpose

A. The Tribal Council has found it to be in the best interest of the Tribe to provide job training assistance to enrolled Tribal Members of the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe. This program will assist in promoting gainful, long-term employment, support tribal self-sufficiency and economic opportunity by providing training, resources and tools that will expand employment choices and opportunities for Tribal Members to achieve stability and success. 

B. Through this Chapter, the Tribal Council institutes the Job Training Assistance Program, guided by the appropriate laws, policies and procedures applicable through federal laws and regulations.

C. The Job Training Assistance Program established in the Chapter complies with the General Welfare Policy found in Chapter 1 of this Title of the Law & Order Code.
