§ 202 Assistance Options
A. To address the ongoing recognized needs of the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe and its Tribal Members the following Assistance Options may be available through the Job Training Assistance Program. The Assistance Options listed in the parenthetical language are illustrative rather than an exhaustive list:
1. Workforce/Job Training–such as assistance in attending training programs or classes that offer the necessary skills required to be successful in a particular area of the workforce;
2. Job and Career Counseling –such as guidance, counseling and programs for which the primary objective is to gain insight into potential career options and training;
3. Clothing Allowance –such as assistance in obtaining the appropriate attire or necessary uniform required for a new job, training and interviews;
4. Temporary Work Allowance–such as funds for travel, room and board for new employment until the first paycheck, but no longer than two weeks;
5. Any other assistance or incentive deemed necessary by the Tribal Council to support the purpose of this Chapter and the needs and welfare of the Tribe and Tribal Members.
B. The Tribal Council shall approve the descriptions of each of the Assistance Option and details of each option shall be include in whole or summarized as part of the Job Training Assistance Application.
C. An Applicant may request more than one assistance option on a single application and may be approved for one option and denied another based on eligibility criteria, available fundingand at the discretion of the Tribal Council, with reasonable justification.
