ยง 302 Specific Eligibility Criteria
A. The following Specific Eligibility Criteria have been identified by the Tribal Council as required for Emergency and Funeral Assistance eligibility:
1. Applicants requesting Funeral Assistance must provide a Mortuary Invoice enumerating the expected expenses for which assistance is requested;
2. Applicants requesting Funeral Assistance must file the Death Certificate for the deceased Tribal Member with the TribalAdministration Office immediately upon receipt;
3. Applicants requesting Funeral Assistance must provide proof that the deceased person was an enrolled Member of the Tribe;
4. Applicants requesting Emergency Assistance must provide a detailed description and proof of emergency need, including bills, an eviction notice or photographs of damage or destruction.
5. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for the Emergency and Funeral Assistance Program as determined by the Tribal Council in accordance with the Emergency and Funeral Assistance Program Handbook, including any income eligibility requirements set forth by any federal or state funded programs.
B. Any individual who knowingly and willfully misappropriates funds, property or information for personal or other use, not in the interest of the Tribe shall be subject to the penalties or disciplinary actions as authorized by applicable law and policies.
