Section 4.
Documentation for Updating Rolls. Upon receipt of appropriate documentation, the Enrollment Officer is authorized to update the information on the current and perpetual membership rolls. The following documentation is deemed adequate for such actions to be taken:
(a) Name change - marriage license, divorce decree, court order changing name.
(b) Address change -- written statement signed by tribal member or his or her guardian.
(c) Death -- The death certificate is the preferred documentation. If this is unavailable, other reliable records may be used including mortuary records, hospital records, or a written, signed statement from someone who attended the funeral or who saw the grave marker and can provide date of death.
Any change for which none of the above records is available must be approved by the Tribal Council by resolution.
